Mayan Ruins Of Muyil 11-27-2007Located south of Playa Del Carmen and Tulum, Mexico. Most of the buildings on the site date back to 1100-1200 AD. The tallest structure in the area is El Castillo or The Castle. It stands 56 feet high, making it taller than any of the buildings in Tulum or elsewhere on the coast. These ruins connect to the nature reserve Sian Kaan, with wetlands and mangrove. |
